4K screen: I have turned off touch screen in BIOS + keep brightness under 50% which is adequate in medium-bright indoors.After waking from sleep it will show ~17 hours remaining - so I assume it calculates based on most recent state? Sometimes it shows as ~2.5 hours with 90% charge then will jump to something sensible like ~8 hours. Remaining battery estimation is wildly all over the place. I read that it is also a battery hog and with a 4K display, no thanks.

Issue avoided - I uninstalled because I never use FR.

I will re-do my finger prints to see if that makes a difference.

I have to touch any key to display the login prompt THEN the reader will read finger print but only sometimes.

Waking from sleep / opening laptop is hit or miss with finger print.

Why? Shouldn't finger print take care of this? On initial boot the finger print will eventually work, but then goes to desktop where a user authentication prompt requires password.

Once installed, adding finger prints works fine.Initially, reader did not work at all (did not show in user info) so I removed and re-installed.

I love Win10 Pro on this device - which you will never hear me proclaim. I love the screen on its lowest brightness. Seven hours of battery life on Wiin10 and ~6 on Linux is no good for a $1500 laptop. Beautiful laptop I made a mistake by purchasing the 4K screen. UPDATE: After a week of giving this laptop #everything.
